History:
It all started when Clarence McCarroll began working for Dayton Brick Company doing maintenance and janitorial work. Over the course of time he would be given various opportunities to advance, including eventually filling in for the shop foreman. After what was supposed to be a temporary role, Clarence earned a more permanent leadership position.

Through his commitment to the business and work ethic, in 1974 Clarence was given the opportunity to purchase Dayton Brick Company. Soon after the purchase, he went to framing the future of his family’s business. The McCarroll’s changed the direction of the business by creating metal fabricated products to service the industry they had emerged from.

Now under the name D&M Welding, they began producing thousands of racks, pallets, sand hoppers, and various other items to brick and block manufacturers. Over the years, we have proudly earned the reputations as the premier block rack producer in the industry.

Both Jeff and Brian, two of Clarence’s sons, would join the business and remain leaders in operations today. Under their leadership D&M Welding has made multiple investments in the future, including in 2019 with the addition of a Bystronic fiber laser cutting table and press brake. With this investment, it has expanded the sheet metal fabrication capabilities we are able to offer.

Now in its third generation of leadership, the McCarroll family continues to grow and expand its capabilities to better serve its customers. For now, D&M Welding remains focused on its core values and core business operations.
